David Zimmer
David Zimmer co-founded Zimmer, Citron & Clarke in 2025. He is a Lecturer at Harvard Law School.
David represents clients in appeals and complex civil litigation. He has argued merits cases at the U.S. Supreme Court and dozens of appeals in federal and state appellate courts across the country. David is ranked in Chambers USA in the Nationwide Appellate Rankings. One of Law360’s Appellate Rising Stars in 2021, David’s work has also been recognized by the American Lawyer, the Financial Times, and the Legal Aid Society.
David dedicates a significant portion of his time to pro bono work and public service, with a particular focus on immigration law. He successfully argued two of the most important immigration cases the Supreme Court has decided in the last decade and is one of the few two-time winners of the American Immigration Lawyers’ Association’s Jack Wasserman Memorial Award for Excellence in Litigation.
