Prime Minister Netanyahu has now publicly rejected Trump’s 15‑point plan, and watching the video, the dismissal looked like a direct and unmistakable rebuke. It raises real questions about the effectiveness and relevance of Trump’s “Board of Peace,” especially at a moment when American support for Israel is showing signs of strain and the war with Iran is beginning to resemble a long, grinding conflict with no clear end.
So, here’s what I’d like the panel to consider: Is this a strategic miscalculation by Netanyahu and Israel? Do they truly have the luxury of openly rejecting a proposal from one of their most important, and increasingly unpredictable, allies?
And more broadly, what does this public break signal about the future of U.S.–Israel relations, especially as both countries navigate a volatile regional war and shifting political landscapes at home?
